Saturday was Olivia's birthday party. The princess turned one! Her party was at MyGym.
She was so tired by the time she ate her cake she was in a slight daze and very slowly dug in.
After her party we went straight to D.C. with our friends to see a Capitals game!
It was a great time, but they ended up losing 2-3.
Sunday morning was the traditional Christmas cookie baking day with Hubby's family.
My nephew, Sister in law, and Grandma (in-law) decorating cookies.
This morning I was surprised to wake up to snow on the ground. Apparently I don't watch the news because I had no idea. It was only a dusting but the first one of the year deserves a photo or two.
And, Olivia visited tonight! We attempted cute photos by the tree but Livi had other plans. So that failed, miserably! She's so cute though :)
She didn't like the tree and wouldn't stay near it for long! What one year old doesn't like to destroy a tree?! Only this girl! Here we bribed her with a cookie. Lasted for half a second :)
We were lucky to catch Santa coming around on his fire truck right before they left! It was freeeezzzing out but we got candy canes and I think Livi enjoyed it :)
Santa Clause is coming to town!
And seriously, less than two weeks until Christmas?! I should be getting the rest of my online shopping done now!!

This post was full of goodness!!! What a fun birthday party for your niece! Hockey games are so fun! My husband and I went to one before and had a blast.. I'd love to go to more.
And those cookies.... yes please!?
What a busy but fun weekend; those cookies look delish!
What a great weekend! Great pictures!
Looks like you had fun this weekend. Olivia is such a cutie! XOXO
That profile shot of Olivia and the tree is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I wish my soon-to-be-one-year-old DIDN'T like touching the tree! ;)
Looks like a great weekend. What kind of lens do you have now? I hate using on board flash but I have had good luck using my speedlight.
Your weekend looks like it was full of fun! Those cookies look delicious as well!
Yes I LOVE the 35mm. It is the best. I used it 95% of the time. Now that I have the D7000 I would like to get a 50mm since that one will AF on the 7000 but wouldn't on my 3000. It is definitely worth the money. Produces great portraits.
Cute photos, Jeska! :-) I hear you on the flash. I despise it but just got a more powerful external and a diffuser softbox (only like 9.00) .... It is AMAZING! Also - a lower apeture lens would help too. Your photos still turned out awesome!
What a fun busy weekend. Great photos.
You are such a great aunt - you're going to be a great mother!
