Snow Day!

But first....

I think this is my new favorite picture of my girl. 
 I went into work this morning (and went to get my white mocha from Safeway/Starbucks where all the crazies were getting bread and milk) so I didn't have a full snow day but I am home now! I'm watching TLC, wrapping gifts, cleaning, blogging, and watching the snow fall while snug on the couch.. yes I'm doing all of these things. This would be after trudging through all the traffic due to an overturned car, and after I was nearly stuck on a hill on a back road. I really didn't think I was going to make it, I had NO control over my wheel, and had the gas pushed down pretty hard trying to inch up the hill. It took awhile but I made it and I was SO glad to be home. The roads were terrible. Snow is not fun when you have to drive in it... or shovel it. Otherwise I would love it. It's so pretty.


And Roxy likes to hop in it.. for like ten seconds.

she has a bag with a bone in it.. it's the only thing she would chase after at the moment :)
Ah, wish I had my shutter speed higher for this photo, oh well I'll have more times to play with it this winter!

But after those seconds she's cold and done :)

my new necklace!

Look how pretty this necklace is! I won a giveaway from Mandy at a sorta fairytale and I love it!! I was so excited to get this in the mail.

 I would have tried to model it but it was after work..and I looked rough :) 
She even wrote a sweet little note in a Christmas card, how nice!

I ♥ Faces: Pet Faces

It was very hard to choose just one photo of Roxy to enter into iheartfaces Pet Faces Contest. But I went with one that has been my favorite for awhile. She was resting after running laps in the backyard. I love her happy face.


This picture was taken today. My mom gave her an early Christmas present, a coat so she doesn't get cold. She was actually shivering in this picture though :)

I told you she is spoiled.

Wonderful Weekend Recap

We had another busy but fun weekend! In order to play catch up I'm just going to do a quick recap with a few photos.  I took close to 200 photos this weekend! Whew.

Saturday was Olivia's birthday party. The princess turned one! Her party was at MyGym.Side note: My sister asked me to take pictures...taking pictures of running babies in low light without flash (because I despise the harsh light from flash) is not easy! I'm now looking in to a new lens!  


She was so tired by the time she ate her cake she was in a slight daze and very slowly dug in.


After her party we went straight to D.C. with our friends to see a Capitals game!


It was a great time, but they ended up losing 2-3.


Sunday morning was the traditional Christmas cookie baking day with Hubby's family. But first we picked up Starbucks for everyone! Yum.


My nephew, Sister in law, and Grandma (in-law) decorating cookies.

We made an array of cookies including chocolate chip, peanut butter blossoms, candy cane cookies, and lemon drops.


This morning I was surprised to wake up to snow on the ground. Apparently I don't watch the news because I had no idea. It was only a dusting but the first one of the year deserves a photo or two.


And, Olivia visited tonight! We attempted cute photos by the tree but Livi had other plans. So that failed, miserably! She's so cute though :) 

She didn't like the tree and wouldn't stay near it for long! What one year old doesn't like to destroy a tree?! Only this girl! Here we bribed her with a cookie. Lasted for half a second :)


We were lucky to catch Santa coming around on his fire truck right before they left! It was freeeezzzing out but we got candy canes and I think Livi enjoyed it :)

That about wraps it up! Next weekend will be much more relaxing!
And seriously, less than two weeks until Christmas?! I should be getting the rest of my online shopping done now!!
