Weekend Wrap-Up

Another busy weekend for this girl. Whew, I am so looking forward to not doing a thing this weekend! I can't complain though- it was a good one! Friday night was girls night.. which these days consist of dinner, drinks, and a movie. A bunch of girls were missing this time but we still had a great night.
Ruby Relaxers, Blackberry Rum Runners, and Georgia Peach Martini's
were consumed.

We saw The Social Network. It was definitely one of my favorite movies that I've seen recently.
A really good movie.. a must see.

Saturday Hub and I got up early to spend the day with his Grandma. She has been asking for us two to come down for awhile and we finally had a free day to do so. It was the most perfect, beautiful day. Honestly I don't think the weather could have been any better. We went out to a local restaurant in her area called Pirate's Cove. We sat outside, waterfront, over-looking The West River. Grandma and I started the meal off with Screwdrivers, then we all devoured some sort of crab dish! Crab Cake, Crab Imperial, Fried Shrimp and more. Delicious!

After lunch, Hub, Grandma, and I walked out onto the dock to snap a few photos for mementos.

Grandma is one of the sweetest, kindest ladies you will ever meet.
Below is a view front her front porch, amazing.
After lunch we sat there and chatted about anything and everything, from more serious topics to the show Teen Mom, which I was thoroughly surprised Grandma watches and could tell you everyones name, their child's name, and their situation!
We watched as neighborhood kids played on her nearby playground and people sat out on the dock. Neighbors strolled along the waterfront, walking their dogs, exercising, riding mopeds. All taking in the day.
And as shade slowly took over the yard the herons danced across the water and the sailboats came in.
There were enough to nearly fill the entire horizon. A gorgeous view.
It was such a wonderful day and I enjoyed every minute listening to Grandma's stories and spending time with her. I hope that we can do that again soon.

On Sunday my sister hosted a 'Thirty One' party. They specialize in personalized bags, purses, and totes. Though they also sell home accents and kids items. I had never heard of this them before but really liked their products and ended up getting a lunch tote in my choice of pattern and wording. They are very cute!

After leaving there I hurried home with a friend to meet up with our Hubs and watch the second half of the Redskin vs. Packers game. Ah, another nail-bitting end, but a Win is a Win!

In other news, I am hosting my first party soon; a Scentsy Party! I'm pretty excited about this :) If you're interested in Scentsy but need an consultant here is the web site to a good friend of mine who sells it! If you've never heard of Scentsy then I suggest you also click the link above! I really love what I have bought so far!

Hops: leave a comment so I can follow back :)
