Irene Destruction

Irene made her mark at our home. Thankfully, we never lost power! But we were unfortunate to lose a privacy tree in our front yard and our huge flag pool.

Here is the tree.

Roxy weathered the storm well.

Surprisingly she never ran and hid behind the couch or under the table. I guess since there wasn't any thunder she wasn't concerned. We snuggled on the couch ALL day long :) I also made cinnamon muffins and we watched Cinderella Man.

While it was a relaxing Saturday....

It's going to be a lot to clean up.

Not fun Irene.

What's your Irene story?

oh no, sorry to hear that ... glad you're all ok.

i have no stories ... just lots and lots of rain and strong winds. i almost feel like i am waiting for things to get worst but i pray to God they don't.

When I moved to the gulf coast of Texas 3 years ago it was 5 weeks before Ike hit - we of course being only 1 mile from Galveston Bay were under mandatory evacuation. On our way back home - well, I can't even describe it in words! Other than your beautiful tree, glad all else is well!!

Glad you all are safe. We had the top of a tree come down on our chicken coup. We will have to rebuild or tear it down. Stinks we were getting the house ready to sell and now we have a BUNCH of cleaning up to do.
